Dukar (or Dugkar) is the female form of the Buddha of Compassion (Chenrezig) and symbolizes the power of active compassion. Dukar is a protection Empowerment that offers protection from diseases, natural disasters, and the removing of obstacles. Also called the "White Umbrella" Empowerment, this symbol indicates her ability to offer protection to sentient beings.

This will be the last public event for the 2008 Austin Tour. Come join in this special evening when two Monks speak about their personal stories followed by a short Chant to close the evening.
